Embodied, Inc. Selected to Join KidsX, the Largest Pediatric-Focused Digital Health Accelerator in the World

 

Pasadena, CA (January 19, 2020) -- Embodied, Inc is pleased to join the inaugural cohort for KidsX, an international consortium of pediatric hospitals focused on improving digital health innovation through collaboration. Founded by Paolo Pirjanian, Embodied will soon release Moxie, its first product to market. Moxie is an adorable robot with machine learning technology that is designed to help promote social, emotional and cognitive development in children through everyday play-based learning and captivating content. Through KidsX, Embodied will partner with leading healthcare organizations to take part in a 13-week virtual program to determine Moxie’s efficacy within the pediatric healthcare space.

KidsX was designed by the Innovation Studio at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) to partner talented and promising early stage digital health companies like Embodied with clinical and administrative leaders at leading pediatric hospitals located in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia and Israel. The goal is to build, test and deploy software solutions to make pediatric care exceptionally effective, safe, efficient and convenient for children and families.

With pediatric patients limited in visitors due COVID-19 safety measures, Moxie offers a fun, safe and engaging animate companion for these children that is specifically designed to help promote social, emotional and cognitive development which might have been put on pause due to hospitalization. Embodied assembled a world class team of experts in child development, engineering, technology, game design, and entertainment to create Moxie, but this accelerator marks the first time Moxie will be tested within a hospital setting.
